Current Regulations for NEET Attempts

As of 2024, there is no limit on the number of attempts. Still, the age restrictions and certification requirements remain part of the eligibility requirements.

  • General Category: The upper age limit for candidates in the General category is 25 years. Candidates above this age can still appear for the exam provisionally, pending the final decision of the Supreme Court.
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the upper age limit is 30 years.
